Camp 2023

Join us in providing these children with fun and exciting activities, while offering opportunities for new friendships and personal growth! Priority is given to staff who can attend all training days and all camp sessions.

Cabin Counselors

Responsibilities:
  • Live in a cabin with 6 - 10 campers and one other counselor
  • Facilitate Cabin Clean Up and Rest Time each day
  • Ensure campers are maintaining appropriate hygiene (showering, brushing teeth, etc)
  • Participate and provide oversight during camp activities

  • Current first aid/CPR certification

Cabin Counselor Leader

Responsibilities:
  • Help the Camp Director recruit, interview, and hire Cabin Counselors
  • Train staff during camp training
  • Support Cabin Counselors during camp sessions
  • Participate and provide oversight during camp activities
Requirements:
  • Current first aid/CPR certification
  • Leadership experience preferred​

Head Cook

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and prepare meals for up to 75 people per meal
  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff
  • Control inventory and order food for meals
Requirements:
  • Oregon Food Handler's card
  • Experience working in a commercial kitchen
  • Current first aid/CPR certification

Lifeguard

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and enforce proper safety rules and activities in swimming area to prevent accidents and provide assistance to swimmers         
Requirements:
  • Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age at time of employment.
  • Current Red Cross Lifeguard Training.
  • Standard First Aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent training as recognized by the American Red Cross. or State and Water Safety Instructor certification.
  • Must pass a federal background check.

Junior Assistant Counselor in Training (J.A.C.T)  Leader

Responsibilities:
  • The CIT Leader is responsible for coordinating the Counselor in Training (CIT) program.
  •  CIT Leader is responsible for training CITs, leading daily CIT meetings, and organizing the CITs’ schedules.
Requirements:
  • Must be at least sixteen (18) years of age at time of employment.
  • Experience with children
  • Must pass a federal background check.

Recreation Counselors

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and lead daily recreational activities for groups of 8 - 15 campers
  • Plan and lead camp-wide activities for groups of 30 - 40 campers
  • Participate and provide oversight during camp activities

Activities Director

Responsibilities:
  • Provide training to Rec Counselors prior to the start of camp.
  • Give regular feedback to camp staff during and after camp sessions
  • Participate and provide oversight during camp activities

Kitchen Staff

Responsibilities:
  • Work with the Head Cook to prepare meals
  • Assist with setting the Dining Hall for meals
  • Wash dishes and maintain cleanliness of the kitchen
  • Assist in maintenance of kitchen inventory

Responsibilities:
  • Provide staff training on health/safety procedures 
  • Conduct health screeners for arriving campers and staff
  • Organize camper medications and dispensing instructions
  • Administer medication and treatment to campers
  • Monitor &  assist with the health and hygiene needs of campers
Requirements:
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Oregon
  • Current first aid/CPR certification​
