Summer Positions
Camp Counselors
Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead the camper’s recreation activities (arts and crafts, nature/outdoors, sports, water activities)
- Live in cabins with 6-10 campers
- Act as a role model/friend to campers
- Monitor camper hygiene (brushing teeth, showering, etc)
- Participate and provide oversight during camp activities
- Must be flexible, able to adapt when schedules change or unexpected events occur.
- Ideal for college students who are interested in general or special education, social work, counseling, psychology, speech-language pathology, occupational and physical therapy, nursing, and related fields in the helping professions.
Student Clinicians
Responsibilities:
Not a paid position. Student clinicians earn supervised practicum/internship hours.
- Plan and conduct speech/language therapy in small group group and 1:1 settings
- Support generalization of skills by providing push-in therapy during large group activities
- Undergrad or graduate students enrolled in an SLP program
- Must have 25 hours of ASHA approved observation time
Not a paid position. Student clinicians earn supervised practicum/internship hours.
MastER Clinician
Responsibilities:
- Supervise up to 8 student clinicians
- Certified SLPs (No CFYs)
- Must meet ASHA criteria to supervise student clinicians
Camp Nurse
Responsibilities:
- Provide first aid care for campers and staff
- Oversee the administration of medications to campers and staff
- Coordinate visits to a physician when needed
- Monitor health and cleanliness standards
- Organize paperwork and maintain file organization.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Oregon
- Current first aid/CPR certification
- Food handler’s permit
