Camp Meals
All of our meals at camp are served “Family Style”. This means the food is passed around the table (as opposed to a buffet line). Research has shown that children who eat meals with their families around a table have larger vocabularies, more diverse conversational skills with a broader range of topic, and are less likely to be obese. We’ve found that Family Style meals at camp is a valuable time for our campers to form connections with one another.

Rec Time
Each day at lunch, the counselors present the rec-time activity choices for the next day. Then the campers sign up for the next day’s activities. Campers are able to get a glimpse of the activity beforehand and feel empowered by a choice of activities. We find that this gives our campers the confidence to try new things! Our rec time groups are small, allowing counselors to devote individual attention to each camper. |
Cabin Life

Campers stay in cabins divided by gender and age. Between 2 – 4 adult counselors live and sleep alongside the campers in our open-air cabins. Cabin life is one of the highlights of the summer camp experience. Campers have a short “Cabin Cleanup” each day after breakfast to practice some life-skills and to create a sense of ownership and pride for the camp.
After lunch campers have FOB (Feet on Bunk), where they can take time to rest by themselves or talk quietly with other campers. Nightly “Cabin Chats” give campers a chance to discuss their day and connect with one another.
