Financial Assistance
Camp Meadowood strives to make the camp experience available to our campers regardless of their ability to pay tuition. Although Camp Meadowood costs more than $3,000 to provide the therapy in an overnight camping experience to each camper, most families pay nothing and donate what they can. In fact, only about 8% of camp costs are underwritten by tuition paid by campers. The remainder is made up through donations from generous friends such as the Oregon State ELKS Association and Milton-Freewater Kiwanis. If families wish to donate to contribute to their children's experience, we suggest visiting our DONATE page. We encourage all families to fill out the financial aid application when registering for camp. To apply for financial aid before completing the rest of the camp application, fill out the form below.
Deposit
A $35 deposit is due when you register your child for camp. There are three reasons the deposit will be refunded. In all other cases, the deposit is non-refundable:
1.) If you do not receive the amount of financial aid you need/want (Once you have been notified of the amount of financial aid your camper has been awarded you have two weeks to decline for the deposit to be refunded)
2.) If your child is on the waitlist for camp and a spot does not open up.
3.) If your child is not accepted because it is determined they are not a good fit (visit our FAQs for reasons a child might not be a good fit)
