About Camp
About Camp Camp Meadowood Springs provides a environment that supports communication throughout the camp day, providing a safe place for campers to practice communication skills. Push-In Therapy ModelGraduate students working toward SLP licensure work alongside camp counselors to plan and lead camp activities. This ensures that therapy goals are targeted throughout the camp day and that therapy is integrated into each aspect of camp. RatiosThe staff to camper ratio is about 1:2. Our counselor to camper ratio is 1:3. |
Our CampersOur campers have a variety of communication disorders, including articulation disorders, apraxia, receptive/expressive language disorders, auditory processing disorders, and stuttering. We also accept campers with other diagnosis that have communication needs that are secondary to another diagnosis, such as Autism or ADHD. InclusionWe take inclusion seriously at Camp Meadowood. We believe in the dignity and intrinsic worth of every human being. We welcome, affirm, and support children (and adults!) of all abilities and disabilities, experiences, races, sexual orientations, gender identities, religion, or citizenship/immigration status. We strive to create a safe environment for all. Vaccination RequirementAll campers and staff are required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, no exceptions/exemptions. |
