Master
Clinicians
Minimum
Qualifications:
- ASHA
certification: Speech Pathology or eligible certification.
(enclose copy)
- Master’s
Degree in Speech Pathology. (enclose copy)
- At
least three years of paid clinical experience.
- Bias
toward a behavioral management approach.
- Master
Clinicians must live in housing provided by I.R.R.R., Inc.
during the camp session at the Meadowood Springs Speech
and Hearing Camp.
- Referral
of students from District or caseload-active recruitment.
Responsibilities:
The
individual who fills this position will become an employee
of I.R.R.R., Inc. dba Meadowood Springs Speech and Hearing
Camp. He/She shall be responsible to their direct supervisors
and the Board of Directors of I.R.R.R., Inc. It shall be understood
that the employee has a duty to see that the policies of I.R.R.R.,
Inc. are maintained as they relate to the employee’s area
of responsibility.
- Supervise
Student Clinicians, their therapy
programs and provide
information, tips, therapy techniques,
ideas and materials to Student
Clinicians to assist with therapy
with campers.
Assume the leadership for all
therapy in your caseload.
- Participate
and supervise pre-testing of caseload upon arrival at camp
and post-testing caseload, according to camp prescription.
Help read and interpret camper files.
- Observe
and assist Student Clinicians with entrance/exit interviews,
providing speech/language therapy and giving diagnosis. Responsible for comprehensive conference with the parents
of each camper upon the completion of the session with Student
Clinician.
- Accompany
Student Clinicians and campers from breakfast through evening
activities.
- Determine
and carry out an effective therapy program based upon diagnostic
information. Meet with Student Clinicians during prep period,
F.O.B. and evening meetings.
- Directly
supervise all clinical clock hours per ASHA guidelines as
reviewed during training week.
- Review
camper final reports and make recommendations and/or corrections
as required. Submit final drafts to Clinical Director for
final approval.
- Responsible
for all equipment used in therapy and return in good order
at the close of camp.
- Responsible
to the Clinical Director.
These
are not the only duties to be performed. Some duties may
be reassigned and other duties may be assigned as required.
This
