Arts & Crafts Leader
Minimum
Qualifications:
- Experience
with children learning activities including: camping, arts
and crafts, music, etc.
- Ability
to supervise children of different ages, skills, etc. in
group settings.
- Good
character, integrity, adaptability, enthusiasm, creativity,
maturity, good judgment and knowledge of behavioral management.
- The
Art Leader must live in housing provided by I.R.R.R., Inc.
during the camp session at the Meadowood Springs Speech
and Hearing Camp.
Responsibilities:
The
individual who fills this position will become an employee
of I.R.R.R., Inc. dba Meadowood Springs Speech and Hearing
Camp. He/She shall be responsible to their direct supervisors
and the Board of Directors of I.R.R.R., Inc. It shall be understood
that the employee has a duty to see that the policies of I.R.R.R.,
Inc. are maintained as they relate to the employee’s area
of responsibility.
- Communicate
with and assist Activities Coordinator in all phases of
the activity program as it relates to art.
- Organize
and supervise staff/children programs, including night activities.
- Gear
activities to campers’ abilities and interests.
- Be
prepared for rainy day activities indoors.
- Be
a spotter at the swimming pool during afternoon swim sessions.
- Inventory
of supplies before and after camp.
- Coordinate
closing of The Hub (crafts building) at end of camp and
storage of materials with the Property Manager.
These
are not the only duties to be performed. Some duties may be
reassigned and other duties may be assigned as required.
This
job description supersedes and replaces prior job descriptions
for this position.
